Hello, I’m an experienced funeral celebrant, and I can help you shape a farewell gathering which is right for you, and for the person who has died. I can support you with all ceremonies, from something very simple, to the more complex and involved. I am experienced in working in a variety of venues – from back gardens, woodland glades, village halls, natural burial grounds and crematoria. As a home funeral guide, I can also help families who are looking after the person who has died themselves, with minimal input from a funeral director.

When we meet, I will take the time listen to you in order to get a true sense of the person who has died, and I will compose an individual ceremony that will be both the celebration of a distinctive life and the mourning of a loss. I can help you to find readings and music, and other personal and creative touches to make the funeral unique, and I will support you in carrying out as much of it as you wish to. I am happy to weave in whatever spiritual of religious elements might be appropriate. I can also assist with creating memorial services, planning funerals and writing life stories in advance, and ceremonies for the scattering of ashes.

My fees start from £230. This covers my time and input from our first conversation, through creating and developing the script with you, helping with ideas, holding the service on the day, and supporting those who are taking an active part. I am very willing to talk through more complex or lengthy funerals or memorial services.
