Martin Poole,Wirral based: covering Merseyside, Cheshire, Lancashire and North Wales.

As well as being a fully trained funeral celebrant, I am also currently training to be a counsellor. My aim is to focus my attention on your needs; to assist you in saying farewell to your loved one by creating a unique ceremony which will be meaningful and respectful to their wishes and yours.

There are no rules to say what must or must not be included in a funeral ceremony and you have the choice to create as much or as little of the content as you wish. I can help you to select suitable music, poetry, readings or anything else that you wish to include. I can also write a eulogy or tribute about the person who has died and, of course, I am able to stand at the front and be
responsible for conducting the funeral service in a clear and professional manner. If you and your family or friends would like to be directly involved in leading parts of the funeral ceremony itself then that’s absolutely fine too.

As an ex-actor and theatre producer I am organised, used to collaborating with people to create private and public events and, of course, I am comfortable when standing in front of a room full of people and can clearly be heard at the back.

My fee is £190 for Wirral based ceremonies. Additional travel expenses will be added for funerals outside of the Wirral (50p per mile).
