Tithe Green Natural Burial, Oxton, Nottinghamshire

Tithe Green Oxton is situated within the boundaries of the historic Sherwood Forest, is approximately 9 miles north of Nottingham City immediately off the A614 Old Rufford Road.  Close by are the villages of Oxton and Calverton. The Burial Ground, opened in 1999, comprises 36 acres and forms part of Oxton Estate which has been privately owned for nearly 500 years.

Winner of the Good Funeral Award 2018, we are one of the leading natural burial grounds in the UK. We believe that nature can be a powerful source of healing and joy.  Wildflower meadow and mature woodland areas combine to provide a serene setting for loved ones to spend time, reflect and connect with nature year-round.

We offer plots for burial or ashes interment in our wild flower meadow or woodland, where a tree is planted on the plot.  All plots are marked with a Welsh slate plaque.

Plots can be purchased in advance and adjacent plots reserved in the wildflower meadow.

At Tithe Green, we are committed to conserving and protecting the land. We take strict measures to support local ecosystems and biodiversity, including planting wildflowers and trees, and raising bee colonies to support the UK’s declining bee population. Our aim is to preserve the land’s natural beauty and diverse wildlife for future generations to enjoy.
