List of Natural Burial Grounds
Respect Green Burial Park, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire
Respect Woodland Eco/Green Burial Park is a place where burial of a loved one takes place in a bio-degradable coffins / shrouds or even a favorite blanket. Grave spaces can be marked by the planting of a tree or maybe a bird box, hedgehog hide etc. The aim of the park is to meet the growing demand for Woodland Eco/Green Burials offering choice to the communityof enviromentally friendly burials in meadows with native wildflowers to encourage butterflies, wildlife and birds. It is a multidenominational burial facility with a separate section for the environmental burial of pets and a joint section for those like-minded people wishing to be buried along with their pets.
With the growing demand for more affordable burials, in one recent poll it concluded that two thirds of us would seek a green resting place if one existed locally and they do now in Linconshire, North Nottinghamshire & South Yorkshire at Respect Green Burial Parks.
The on-going coppicing will produce income for the insurance & maintenance of the park so prolonging the eternal sustainability ensuring the-cycle-of-life will continue as the commercial woodland crop is naturally thinned re planted giving sustainability and natural growth.
