Tithe Green Markfield Natural Burial Ground, Markfield, Leicester

Regional winner in
The People's Awards for the Best Natural Burial Ground 2024 and Runner up in 2021

Tithe Green Markfield ground is located in a beautiful spot just to the north of Thornton Reservoir in North West Leicestershire. The site attracts lots of wildlife, from buzzards to bumblebees.

We believe that nature can be a powerful source of healing and joy.  Wildflower meadow and mature woodland areas combine to provide a serene setting for loved ones to spend time, reflect and connect with nature year round.

We offer plots for burial or ashes interment in our wildflower meadow or woodland, where a tree is planted on the plot.  All plots are marked with a Welsh slate plaque.

Plots can be purchased in advance and adjacent plots can be reserved in the wildflower meadow.

At Tithe Green, we are committed to conserving and protecting the land. We take strict measures to support local ecosystems and biodiversity, including planting wildflowers and trees, and raising bee colonies to support the UK’s declining bee population. Our aim is to preserve the land’s natural beauty and diverse wildlife for future generations to enjoy.
