Herongate Wood, Nr Brentwood, Essex

Herongate Wood is a green cemetery of 25 acres of rolling Essex wild-flower meadow, adjacent to ancient bluebell woods near Brentwood. We plant young trees to extend the wood. To preserve the views, Granite grave plaques lie flat on the ground. No grave will ever be re-used or disturbed.

Private Service Chapel will seat 60, with plenty of standing space and car parking. Pondside Services are available. You may pre-book single and adjacent plots. Funeral Plans available.

We are also Funeral Directors and offer the fullest range of ‘green’ and traditional services i.e. full burial, cremation and burial of ashes. You may call in at the administration office (called the 'welcome centre') with or without an appointment for help or information.
