 We offer affordable natural burials in a meadow on the southwest side of Hackpen Hill. This is a beautiful and quiet location, with diverse grassland and abundant wildlife including a small herd of roe deer. Situated at the edge of the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are far-reaching views across the Culm Valley. The meadow is set aside for nature and new woodland, apart from occasional hay-making.
Any forms of funeral service or ceremony are allowed, as long as the low-impact principles of the site are observed. We do not require that a funeral director be used. There are no time-limits and we are happy to help when families wish to design their own event.
Memorials: Memorial trees are planted close to the burial area, and small memorial plaques can be placed on a memorial board, or with a memorial tree.
