Pembrokeshire Natural Burial Ground, Keeston, near Haverfordwest

Pembrokeshire Natural Burial Meadow is located in the Heart of Pembrokeshire, in Keeston, near Haverfordwest. With the Preseli Mountains in the distance, the sea breeze in the air, and open countryside views, it is a place where you can stop and take a moment to reflect and remember those special to you.

Within the meadow are three areas where you can choose to have a natural burial or interment of ashes. This includes the glade where grasses are kept shorter for low-lying species, the meadow with views overlooking the wildflower hay meadow and the pond and wetland restoration. There is also the spinney with woodland burials which include a native tree. This is creating new woodland as a living tribute to those resting there.

Burials are natural and pet friendly and all are welcome, those religious and non-religious. If you are religious individual plots can be blessed, and people arrange a send-off that fits them as a family without time constraints. These can include personal touches like bringing the beloved motorbike, a final tractor journey or raising a drink in remembrance or you can keep things really simple. They support families who wish to have a family-led funeral and help those who want direct natural burial. There is also composting toilet on site available for funerals, memorials and celebrations of life.

At the natural burial ground, there are a number of different choices including:

- Natural Burial

- Interment of Ashes

- Memorial Tree Planting

- Simple Welsh Slate Memorials

They also have an area designated for natural pet burial and you can include pets' ashes as part of a natural burial.

The meadow is open during daylight hours and has a dog-friendly permissive walk for those who want to go and enjoy a walk in nature. If you want to have a look you can visit at your own leisure or get in touch with Sarah who can arrange to meet you there and explain how everything works.

The gathering area, where services can take place, is accessible for wheelchairs. The burial ground has a large car park that can offer priority parking for those who need it. If you want to know more please get in touch with Sarah. She can offer advice about natural burial and also about celebrant ceremonies, as her background is in funeral celebrancy.

If you are looking for green funeral suppliers in the West Wales area Sarah also has a list of local green suppliers including coffin makers, officiants, florists and venues that she is always happy to share. You can find out more about the burial ground at:
