List of Natural Burial Grounds
Pembrokeshire Natural Burial Ground, Keeston, near Haverfordwest
Pembrokeshire Natural Burial Ground is located in the Heart of Pembrokeshire, in Keeston, near Haverfordwest. With the Preseli Mountains in the distance, the sea breeze in the air, and open countryside views, it is a place that you can stop and take a moment to reflect and remember those special to you. Sarah, who is there to help you plan your natural burial, already had experience of natural burials as a funeral celebrant, when she and Dai started New Meadow Farm they saw a real opportunity to bring something special to Pembrokeshire. The meadow is open from dawn to dusk and you are always welcome to pop by visit and make the most of the permissive dog friendly walk around the meadow. If you wish Sarah can also meet you at the meadow and show you around, while you have the freedom to plan a funeral that is right for you without any time constraints. Burials are natural and pet friendly and you can have any type of service you wish whether this is a very simple service or a more traditional service, a religious funeral or non-religious funeral. You can also include personal touches such as arriving by tractor, horseback or motorbike, or following your service with a picnic or marquee in the meadow. The Natural Burial Ground still remains an important part of the farm and has a sustainable, environmentally friendly future, while also offering a safe and beautiful place for our families to continue to remember those special to them. We can help families with: Natural burial Interment of ashes Scatter of Ashes Memorial Tree Planting Simple Welsh Slate Memorials Plots can be pre-purchased (including next to one another), families can choose a funeral director who we can work with or may wish to plan the funeral themselves and work with us directly. We have a large car park that is easily accessible and can offer priority parking for those who need it. We have a nice gathering space where funeral and memorial service can take place, however these can also take place in the meadow. Families can help to backfill if they wish with the guidance of our very helpful gravedigger Dai.
