Celebrants
Peter Fielder - Lancashire, Merseyside and surrounding counties
Hello, I am a Humanist Ceremonies™ Funeral Celebrant. This means I can help you arrange a simple non-religious ceremony to celebrate the life of your relative or close friend. I can add thoughts on life and death from a humanist point of view if you wish or keep this to a minimum. Be rest assured, you do not need to identify as a humanist to engage my services. I do have a flexible approach and for example, if a particular hymn or piece of religious music provides comforting memories, then I am more than happy to include this. With a nursing background, initially working on a busy medical ward, my working life has been focussed on compassion and empathy. Originally from London, I have lived for the past 18 years in my wife’s hometown of St Helens. My elderly mother, followed me up North and she keeps me busy – I take an active part in her care. I have a principle of not taking on too many clients. This means I can give my undivided attention to one bereaved family without other commitments pulling me away. Each script I fashion is created from scratch – you have a blank page to fill as you wish and I will support you in doing this, with music, readings, and tributes, as appropriate. The services I create are dignified, genuine, professional and entirely appropriate. To plan a funeral to mourn and say your farewells to a loved one, please ask your appointed funeral director to contact me, or if you prefer, please contact me directly as early as possible; I will then arrange to meet you to start working on a genuine and appropriate tribute. I am trained in Obitus, the funeral media supplier and a member of the Good Funeral Guild, http://goodfuneralguild.co.uk I’m based in St Helens and available to perform ceremonies throughout Lancashire, Merseyside and surrounding counties. I regularly work in Eastham on the Wirral in my own private clinic and visit Liverpool on a regular basis. Feel free to contact me any time of day on 07305 366 801 or email me using peter.fielder@humanistceremonies.org.uk
