Ceremonies From The Heart: Veronika Sophia Robinson

For as long as I can remember, I have always felt a sense of respect for ceremonies and rituals which honour the human spirit. I trained as a marriage celebrant in New Zealand in the mid 1990s. Having officiated across three countries, for more than twenty years, I am skilled at bringing purpose and intention to each ceremony.

My role is to seamlessly create a sacred space, and I do so practically and intuitively using a sense of craft, pace and purpose. I am there to hold the energy, and to offer structure. At the heart of all my work, I ask myself “What does this ceremony mean?”

When you book me as your celebrant, remember that the ceremony is about you and your loved one, so whether you want to include elements which are religious, secular, spiritual, holistic or other, I am there to honour your wishes.

I am a great supporter of family-organised funerals, and have a particular affinity for those that are low cost, low carbon and based on simplicity and beauty. Although it is common to use a funeral director, I am happy to work with you whether or not you have one.

I am available as a funeral and memorial celebrant throughout Cumbria and northern Lancashire (up to 100 miles from Penrith).

My fee: £200 (payable by cash on the day of the funeral/memorial or by cheque/BACS beforehand)

Please note: ceremonies 50 miles or more from Penrith will be liable to a travel fee of 45p per mile after the first fifty miles.
