Marie Pembridge, Gloucestershire and neighbouring counties

I will work with you to create the most appropriate funeral ceremony for the person who has died. Meeting with you in the comfort of your own home – or another venue of your choice - I will take the time listen to you in order to get a true sense of the person who has died. I will compose an individual ceremony that will be both the celebration of a distinctive life and the mourning of a loss. I will help you to find readings and music, and other personal and creative touches to make the funeral unique, and I will support you in carrying out as much of it as you wish to.
Many people are not affiliated to a particular religion – they may have their own spiritual beliefs, or none. I will respect each family’s preference and their individual views, and will create an appropriate, well-structured and imaginative ceremony with as much or as little specific spiritual content as you wish.
I can also assist with creating memorial services, and ceremonies for the scattering of ashes.

Areas Covered:

Gloucestershire and neighbouring counties.  Travelling expenses are payable over 50 miles from Gloucester.

My standard fee is £210, which covers our meeting, creating and developing the script with your input, holding the service on the day – supporting those who are taking an active part - and a presentation copy of the script to keep. More complex or lengthy funerals can be agreed individually.
