Ashbourne, G. Wathall & Son Ltd, Derbyshire

Helen Wathall is proud to represent the fifth generation of her family business, G. Wathall & Son Ltd, established in 1858. It is the longest established Independent Funeral Directors in Derby and was one of the largest single site Independent offices in England until the opening of their Ashbourne branch in 2007. They have absorbed and adapted to changes and found themselves dealing with traditional and non-traditional funerals, catering for a wide diversity of families of all denominations.

G. Wathall & Son Ltd have always prided themselves in offering a very high standard of service and over the years have built up a reputation for the care for the deceased, concern for the bereaved, attention to detail, reliability and fair costs.

They are members of the National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors, which represents over 1000 Independent Funeral Directors all over the UK. This association has a well-respected voice listened to by National and Local Government, Consumer groups, Bereavement Services, Religious Organisations and the Media, on all the diverse issues facing the funeral sector.

Today there are 26 members of staff providing the traditional, dignified, quality service which the people of Derby and the surrounding areas have come to expect- 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
