Basic Funeral Option

The total cost of the basic funeral option from Sullivan and Son
Independent Funeral Services is £1625.

Please note:

A funeral can be either a burial or a cremation. The price of Sullivan and Son Independent Funeral Service's basic funeral option does not include cemetery or crematoria fees, also known as 'disbursements', which vary widely across the country.

If you're having a burial you can expect cemetery and grave preparation fees to be between £500 and £20,000.

If you're having a cremation you can expect crematoria fees to be between £500 and £1200. One doctors' signature is required for cremations at £82 (unless the coroner is involved).

These costs will be in addition to the basic funeral cost quoted above.

Sullivan and Son Independent Funeral Service says about their basic funeral option:

£1495 = direct cremation price

£1940 = standard funeral including motor hearse and oak effect coffin

£2275 = traditional funeral including hearse and limousine, preparation and use of chapel of rest

This basic funeral includes:

	This funeral includes all costs for Sullivan and Son Independent Funeral Service's professional services, advice and help (including help to find someone to perform the ceremony if required).	Sullivan and Son Independent Funeral Service says: "Completely transparent single price list, all on our website".
	All costs for appropriate care of the body of the person who had died.	Sullivan and Son Independent Funeral Service says: "Refrigerated cold room. Embalming only if requested or necessary."
	The provision of a coffin for the person who has died.	Sullivan and Son Independent Funeral Service says: Oak effect as standa5rd or our cardboard casket in our "Coffin Cover" if requested. All other eco and alternative coffins available”.
	Collection of the body of the person who has died and transport of the body to the place of burial or cremation.	Sullivan and Son Independent Funeral Service says: "Includes collection during office hours on weekdays within 25 miles of Dover CT16 2LL. £75 surcharge for out of hours and £1.50 per mile extra distance.
	The cost of co-ordinating the funeral on the day (not including performing the ceremony).	Sullivan and Son Independent Funeral Service says: "Includes Funeral Directors attendance at the funeral"

Direct Cremation Option

The total cost of the direct cremation option from Sullivan and Son Independent Funeral Service is £1495

Please note:

The cost of this direct cremation includes all fees and costs for the cremation. This includes the crematoria an doctors fee if necessary.

There is usually no ceremony with this service and it is not possible to choose the crematoria or the time of day.

This direct cremation includes:

	All costs for the cremation disbursement fee, doctor's fee and Sullivan and Son Independent Funeral Service's professional services and advice.	Sullivan and Son Independent Funeral Service says: Includes 24hour local collection, and cremation at Barham crematorium
	All costs for appropriate care of the body of the person who had died until the cremation has taken place.	Sullivan and Son Independent Funeral Service says: "Refrigerated cold room"
	The provision of a cardboard coffin as standard for the person who has died.	Sullivan and Son Independent Funeral Service says: "Cardboard casket"
	Transport of the body of the person who has died to the place of cremation and collection and return of the ashes.	Sullivan and Son Independent Funeral Service says: "Use of our motor van as hearse. Free collection of cremated remains from crematorium or our office. Uk wide courier service for ashes available for extra cost.”
